Resource Development Coordinator
Job Overview: The Resource Development Coordinator will be responsible for leading and facilitating the development of resources for our organization. This role will focus on increasing financial support through strategic fundraising efforts, engaging with the Resource Development Committee and exploring new avenues for funding. The Coordinator will play a key role in planning and executing fundraising events and expanding the donor base.
Key Responsibilities
Facilitate Monthly Resource Development Committee (RDC) meetings: Providing guidance and support to committee members to ensure effective decision-making and strategy development for fundraising efforts.
Fundraising Event Planning & Participation: Collaborate with the RDC to plan and execute major fundraising events, such as the Brick & Mortar event. Lead the planning process and assist with event logistics, promotion, and follow-up activities to ensure maximum participation and funds raised.
Initiate New Fundraising Events: Actively propose, plan, and initiate new fundraising events to increase the organization’s visibility and financial resources. Engage with potential partners and stakeholders to expand fundraising opportunities.
Explore and Apply for New Funding Opportunities: Research, identify, and apply for new funding opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government sources. Maintain knowledge of relevant funding trends and grants.
Expand Donor Base and Options: Work to diversify and expand the donor base through targeted outreach and engagement strategies. Develop and implement donor stewardship strategies to maintain and grow relationships with existing and potential donors.
Qualifications
Proven experience in resource development or fundraising, preferably in a nonprofit environment.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with internal team, volunteers and external stakeholders.
A proactive, self-starter with the ability to work independently and take initiative in planning and executing projects.
Knowledge of fundraising tools and platforms, including donor management software.
Passion for the organization’s mission and commitment to its long-term success.
Work Environment: This is a part-time position. Approximately 20 hours per week, 1040 hours per year. This position requires occasional travel for fundraising events and meetings. Flexibility in working hours may be necessary to accommodate event schedules and donor engagement activities. There will be times when work can be done from home.
