Martha Pierce - Executive Director

Martha Pierce has served in local church ministry for 15 years and another 20 in camp and retreat leadership.  Her passion is hospitality – ensuring all that come are welcome, comfortable and have a good time while they learn, grow and serve.  She has served camps in Florida, Kansas, and Hawaii prior to and while living at Narrow Ridge Earth Literacy Center in Washburn, TN.  Working with Mountain T.O.P. is a wonderful opportunity to learn and grow with the staff as we serve central Tennessee. 

Martha has one daughter, who lives in Knoxville.  She shares life with 2 dogs and 3 cats.  Her hobbies include pottery, embroidery, and music.  A love of the natural world drives her to learn about each environment in which she lives.  Being so near to Greeter Falls and Falls Creek Falls is very exciting for her.

Rachael Jorstad -

Director of Formation & Impact

After graduating from Miami University with a degree in Professional Writing and Sustainability in 2016, Rachael moved to Tennessee to work at Mountain T.O.P. In that role, she oversaw volunteer logistics, program assessment, and spiritual life programming. Rachael graduated from Vanderbilt Divinity School with a Master of Theological Studies in 2022 and is in the ordination process to become a deacon in the United Methodist Church. 

Currently, Rachael is serving as Director of Formation & Impact. In this role, she works on big-picture programming initiatives. She cares about creating spaces for people to encounter God through contemplative practices to become more generous, grounded, and loving people. Rachael has a husband, Cody, and a dog, Jake. She loves reading and considers chocolate chip cookies to be her favorite food group.

Annabel Hines -

Service Area Manager

Annabel is from Germantown, Tennessee and graduated from The University of Tennessee at Knoxville with a B.S. in Food Science. Annabel loves to be outdoors and make art!

Annabel started volunteering with Mountain T.O.P. in 2017 and spent two years on Summer Staff and a year in AmeriCorps service before becoming a Service Area Manager. She works to match the skills of the volunteers to projects as they are planned and completed. As well as to update van notebooks and construction guides for volunteers. In the summer, she supports Camp Baker Mountain in Spencer, TN and the service project team. Annabel is also in charge of all our merchandise in the Camp Store and Canteen. She is a member of the recruiting team and social media team. Annabel is currently studying for her contractor’s license!

Jacey Brady -

Logistics Coordinator

Jacey is a Grundy County native, born and raised in Altamont, TN. She graduated from Berea College in December of 2022 with a degree in Communications. A fun fact about Jacey is that she lived in Mexico for half a year!

Jacey came as a child to Mountain T.O.P.’s Day Camp program and got connected with us again in July of 2023. As Logistics Coordinator Jacey is responsible for all the people coming in the gates of camp, from the moment of registration all the way through their post-event follow ups. Through her monitoring of our qualitative and quantitative data, Jacey is in charge of managing our ministry’s impact on our service area and volunteers. She’s also a member of our social media team.

Jane Lannom - Development Manager

Jane grew up in Collierville, TN and graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a degree in Nonprofit Management. A fun fact about Jane is that she was almost in a movie with Oprah!

Jane began volunteering as a youth with Mountain T.O.P. for many years and has been on summer staff the past 3 years. In her position, she maintains donor relationships and fundraising development as well as being a member of the social media team.
